The terms that apply when you use the website and services of The Lyndah Kayson Confidence Circle Foundation.
Using this website
These terms apply to your use of lkccfoundation.org (the "website") and the services offered through it by The Lyndah Kayson Confidence Circle Foundation ("the Foundation", "we", "us"), based in Spintex, Accra, Ghana.
By using the website, booking a session, donating, or sending us information, you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy, our Medical Disclaimer, and our Donation & Refund Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the website.
What we offer
The Foundation runs a supportive community for people living with visible skin conditions. Through the website you can read our blog and resources, sign up for workshops and events, join the Circle, book video sessions with members of our team, share your story, and donate.
Our workshops, support groups, sessions, and resources are free. We may change, pause, or end any part of the website or our programs at any time.
Not a substitute for medical care
Information on the website, and in our sessions, workshops, and community spaces, is for support and general education. It is not a diagnosis or a treatment plan, and it doesn't replace care from a qualified healthcare professional who can examine you. Please read our Medical Disclaimer.
Our services are not for emergencies. If you or someone else is in danger, call 112 or go to the nearest hospital.
Booking sessions
- Give your real name and a working email address so we can confirm your booking.
- Your confirmation includes a private video call link. Keep it to yourself: anyone with the link can join the call.
- If you can't make it, let us know as early as you can so someone else can use the time.
- We may occasionally need to reschedule or cancel a session. If that happens, we'll contact you.
- Please don't record a session unless everyone on the call has agreed.
- Sessions are free and offered at our discretion. We may decline or cancel a booking that misuses the service.
Community guidelines
The Circle only works if everyone feels safe. When you take part in our sessions, events, or community spaces, please:
- Treat everyone with kindness and respect, whatever their skin, background, or beliefs.
- Never mock, shame, or harass anyone because of how they look.
- Keep what others share in confidence. Don't share someone's story, photo, or details without their permission.
- Don't sell or promote products, treatments, or services unless we have agreed to it in advance.
- Don't send spam, misleading information, or anything unlawful.
We may remove content, cancel bookings, or restrict access for anyone who doesn't follow these guidelines.
Our content
The text, photographs, videos, logos, and design of the website belong to the Foundation or to people who have given us permission to use them. You're welcome to read, link to, and print our content for personal, non-commercial use.
Please don't copy or reuse our photographs and videos, especially those showing members of our community, without our written permission.
Donations
Donations are processed by Paystack. Our Donation & Refund Policy explains how giving works and when a donation can be refunded.
Using the website responsibly
Please don't try to break into, overload, or disrupt the website; access accounts or areas you're not authorized to use; collect other people's information from it; or pretend to be someone else.
Other services
Some features rely on other services, such as Paystack for donations, Jitsi Meet for video calls, and Google Maps on our Contact page. Your use of those services is also covered by their own terms. We're not responsible for websites or services we don't run.
The website is provided as is
We work hard to keep the website accurate and available, but we can't promise that it will always be error-free, up to date, or uninterrupted.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Foundation is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the website or our services, or for decisions you make based on information you find here. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under the laws of Ghana.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. If you keep using the website after an update, you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of Ghana. We'd always rather talk things through with you first.
